The City of Winnipeg provides a rebate of contributions made to a registered candidate. Candidates receiving a donation will provide a receipt that serves as the rebate application form that is sent into the city. The maximum contribution to any registered candidate for Councillor is $750.00.

Rebates are calculated as follows:

For contributions from $25 up to $300, the rebate is 75% of the amount donated

For any contributions above $300 up to the maximum of $750, the rebate is $225 plus 50% of the amount above $300.

To provide the maximum amount of rebate for the amounts contributed, we discourage any contributions above $300.
